When you’re on the hunt for a fresh online slot experience in the UK, you’ll often see two choices: a brand that has been around for decades, or a newer launch that promises modern graphics and a slick interface. Patrick Spins Casino sits squarely in the middle. It’s a brand that has been around since 2014, but it recently updated its layout and added a handful of new titles. If you’re wondering whether it’s worth the switch, read on for a straight‑talk review.
What Patrick Spins Offers You Right Out of the Gate
First off, the game library. The casino lists over 1,200 slots, including three flagship titles that have been top‑rated by players: Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest, and Book of Dead. That’s more than enough to keep a casual player busy for weeks. In addition, there are 35 live‑dealer tables and a handful of classic table games such as blackjack, roulette, and baccarat.
The software stack is a mix of NetEnt, Microgaming, and Evolution Gaming. If you’re a fan of high‑resolution, cinematic slots, you’ll find plenty of titles from NetEnt. The live‑dealer rooms run on Evolution, which means you’ll get a real‑time, high‑definition stream with professional dealers.
Bonuses are generous but not over the top. New players receive a 100% match up to £200 plus 50 free spins on Starburst. There’s also a weekly reload bonus of 20% up to £100. The terms are clear: a 30x wagering requirement on the bonus, with a 10x requirement on the free spins. That’s a typical figure for the UK market, so you can plan your bankroll accordingly.
Payments are straightforward. Deposits can be made via Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and the popular e‑wallet Revolut. Withdrawals go through the same channels, but the fastest method is PayPal, which usually clears within 24 hours. Bank transfers can take up to five business days.
Pros That Make the Site Stand Out
- Fast Loading Times – The website boots up in under two seconds on a 5 Mbps connection, which is crucial when you’re chasing a new slot release.
- Mobile‑First Design – The mobile app mirrors the desktop experience, so you can switch between devices without losing progress.
- Localised UK Support – Live chat is available 24/7, and the help centre offers answers in British English, with clear explanations of UK gambling regulations.
- Regular Tournaments – Weekly slot tournaments with £500 prize pools keep the competition lively and give you a chance to win extra cash.
Limitations That Might Disappoint Some Players
While the site is solid, it’s not without its quirks. The most noticeable drawback is the limited selection of progressive jackpots. Out of the 1,200 slots, only 12 carry a progressive feature, and the maximum jackpot is £10,000—well below the £50,000–£100,000 jackpots you’ll find at larger operators. This means if you’re chasing a life‑changing win, you might need to look elsewhere.
Another issue is the lack of a dedicated mobile app for iOS. Android users can download the app from the Google Play Store, but iPhone players must stick to the mobile website, which can be a bit slower on older devices.
Finally, the customer support team can be slow during peak hours. I experienced a 45‑minute wait for a live chat response when I had a question about a bonus expiry date. While the issue was resolved, the delay was noticeable.
How Patrick Spins Stacks Up Against the Competition
When you compare Patrick Spins to other UK casinos, you’ll see that its slot library is comparable to mid‑tier brands, but its bonus structure is slightly more generous. The 100% match up to £200 is a good entry point, whereas many competitors offer a 50% match. However, the wagering requirements are on the higher side, so you’ll need to play more to meet them.
The live‑gaming experience is solid, but it doesn’t match the breadth of options at larger operators. If you’re a live‑dealer enthusiast, you’ll find fewer table variations and a smaller player pool.
Which Casino Should You Pick?
If you’re a slot fan who values a fast, mobile‑friendly interface and decent bonuses, Patrick Spins Casino is a solid choice. It offers a robust library, quick withdrawals, and a friendly UK‑centric support team. The main downside is the limited progressive jackpots and the iOS app absence, which may turn off high‑rollers and Apple users.
For players who prioritize massive jackpots or a wide array of live‑dealer options, you might want to look at larger brands. But for the average UK player looking for a reliable slot hub with a straightforward bonus, Patrick Spins delivers.
